Explore Jamaica’s Black River on a Safari Tour

Want to experience Jamaica like a local? This tour down one of the longest rivers is Jamaica is not to be missed!

You cruise along the Black River in a comfortable safari boat, floating past giant red mangrove trees standing over 40 feet above the water! You also get to see the endangered American crocodile in its natural habitat and over 100 different species of exotic birds! We frequently see fishermen catching crabs in traditional long canoes as well.

The trip then continues to Little Ochi in Alligator Pond, a real Jamaican experience! The restaurant opens out to the beach, which is full of secluded tables covered in thick thatch. Several tables are elevated on stilts, and one is in the shape of a boat. Here you can enjoy fish and seafood cooked to order and spend the rest of the day by the sea. Reggae concerts are often held in the evenings, sometimes attracting some of the biggest artists in Jamaica.

You can also make this tour truly unique by adding more attractions, such as the YS Falls, Appleton Estate, Floyd’s Pelican Bar, Holland Bamboo Avenue, and more.

We can arrange pick-up or drop-off requests anywhere in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, or Falmouth.
